This whole saga reminds of the dog with a bone looking at its reflection in the water. Should have resigned him earlier, now, in retrospect, should have sold him on deadline day to P$G. It started with De Vrij, now he's checked out, Bastoni fought off a sell, but hasn't really returned to form and lastly, Skriniar who has been distracted as well. Inter is in deep and every club in Europe can smell it a mile away. Pathetic.

That is why it really does not matter worrying about this shit. There is blood in the water and every club in Europe knows they can pick up a quality Inter bargain from our out of contract players.

I hope that losing quality players for next to nothing and the overall drop in the team's performances and competitiveness will hasten Suning's downfall.

Why not just agree to what he wants and attach a sale clause of 70 Million?

His behavior was the same as players that want to leave the club.

I said that he wants to go to PSG play alongside Messi and whatnot. You called me beppe Marotta dick rider...

Whereas, yeah, sure... i'd ride a dick, but not beppes... Come on

It is so fucking simple. It is summer, player is going to last season of his contract.
You only have 2 options:
1) Hi is regular starter, you want to extend his contract, offer him new contract, negotiate it, if you can make a deal, sign new contract. If you can't make a deal, sell him for the best offer.
2) You don't need him and don't want to extend. Sell him for best offer, if there is any.

Waiting for January is shooting at your leg.

Because we`re a big club and don`t use sale clauses, regardless of its value. That might mess up our entire vision/strategy. Times change, you don`t want uncertainty in 3 years from now just because Suning are being cheap in 2021-2022.

Being flat broke does not help. Offering a player 6.5 million per season when he can go to PSG and get paid 8 or 9 million per season is a wage that Inter simply cannot match.
Well they know everyone`s salary and that`s a fair contract extension offer. One would hope they have learned from Ivan`s lesson and will agree new contract before it`s too late.

Club is banking on the fact that players are happy at Inter, enjoy living in Italy and they are all friends, so in a family kind of environment. Money is not everything and Skriniar can comfortably live even without those millions difference from P$G. From Skriniar`s latest statements, he does not seem to want to leave:

SKRINIAR: ‘I’VE ALWAYS TRIED TO GIVE MY ALL FOR INTER’
Milan Skriniar commented on Inter’s sluggish start to the season, how it felt to lose the Scudetto last season and working with Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi.

The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back has been one of the most discussed Nerazzurri players in recent months, being heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. With less than a year left on his current contract, Skriniar is again the subject of numerous transfer rumours as Inter work to tie him down to a new deal.

Speaking to DAZN, Skriniar first discussed who his childhood idol was.
“It was Ronaldo the Fenomeno when I was a child because I was a striker. I think all children when they start playing football think about scoring lots of goals and providing assists, just like he did at the highest level.
“I remember when he was at the World Cup in 2002 winning the top scorer’s trophy with that particular hair that I asked my dad to do mine like that. But I looked disgusting so I took it off right away!”

He spoke about Inter’s tough start to the season and the criticisms levied against the defence.
“It’s not that the team or the coach are blaming the defenders, we take the criticism in a global way because it’s the whole team that defends and the same goes for the offensive phase.
“We all talked about this together, but we know as defenders that we can and must do better than what we’ve been doing since the start of the season.”

The Slovakian centre back reflected on the Nerazzurri’s failed title charge last season and how it felt to lose to intercity rivals Milan.
“There was a lot of disappointment, but we said to each other straight away: ‘Guys, we won two cups, let’s hope it gives us extra determination to prepare and try to win the Scudetto next year’.
“There’s a lot of criticism, people say we have to win because we have a strong team, that we shouldn’t play, that we play badly. We don’t want to listen to them because they only make us lose energy.
“Last year we lost the derby after dominating for 70 minutes, then we also made a mistake against Sassuolo and that too could have been decisive. I don’t want to look at it like that.
“There’s also credit to Milan, they were very good because the last five games were very very difficult, but they won them and did very well. There is also credit to them and not just our faults.”

Skriniar looked back at Conte’s time in charge of Inter.
“For me, playing in a three-man defence was something new, at the beginning I struggled. Although I always gave my best, I had limits in that role. Working with him and his staff helped me to improve.
“In the national team I play in four, I was already used to it and there are no problems, with Conte I got used to playing in three, now I can do both and that’s a good thing.”

He spoke highly about current coach Inzaghi, who has been the subject of much criticism recently.
“He’s like one of us. He talks to us, he jokes with us, but when there’s a heavier word to say he says it.
“I’d say he’s a more balanced coach, he knows how to have fun with us, but also when there’s something wrong to say. That’s when he says his piece.”

He touched on his relationship with teammate Marcelo Brozovic.
“We used to play around a lot, now we still do, but a little less. Brozovic was sick, but he made us all sick.
“We always spend the retreats together, we are six or seven in the room, we watch the games if there are any. We are a good group, a fantastic group. We are friends, not just teammates.”

Finally, Skriniar discussed his relationship with the Inter fans.
“I’ve always tried to give my all for this team, fighting for every ball and maybe that’s why the fans love me. I have a good relationship with them and it’s great.”

Fuck GdS! Extend Milan.

So according to the rumors he ask for 7.5 mln, while the Inter's offer is 6 mln.
I guess he is not so big interista as he tried to pretend.
I know that we wanted to sacrifice him, and he might be pissed about it. But, he knows that 6 mln is the selling and in Inter's current financial situation, they cannot offer him much more than this.
If he really cares about the club, he should accept this offer.

Lukaku makes 7.5m at Inter. How is 6m the ceiling?

Why should he? I swear some people here never negotiated anything in their life. Even Ramos was telling his madrid teammates not to take any paycut, you gotta look out for yourself firstly

He showed them again and again that he want be in the club, but they tried sell him last few years.

Now when he saw what he can get,he would be stupid, if he doesn’t ask for more than for what Inter offered at first.

I mean it’s all management mistake, so now they can see consequences of their actions.

Want to be cheap with one of your crucial starters, don’t be surprised when it bite you in the ass.

You can love something so much as you want, but in business/job environment everybody will use it against you when you want more money.

6M is the ceiling? So what about Lukaku? Lol..
Btw.. IF Skriniar accept this can you be sure Inter wont try to sell him again for big profit?
Cause i'm not.. I even really sure inter will try to sell him again.. And if that really the plan why dont inter just give him what he want and sell him next year.. Either that or loose him for free..

I think Lukaki is an exception, and there is no one else to get the same. Brozo's renewal was 6.5 + bonuses. I believe that something like this will be the last offer to Skriniar as well.

Meanwhile this guy is posting pictures of him training at Inter. With the caption that he is back and a black&blue heart. No normally I don't take social media to serious but it's interesting to see. This guy is not active at all at social media so after the reports came out about his contract situation and he's posting that. Does it means he will stay?! Probably not but it's nice to have some hope nowadays.

If you are interista, it doesn't mean you need to accept less. Skriniar has been shopped around for years despite him at least publicly always saying he wants to stay here. Last contract negotiated by himself. He's up for a big raise given how well he has done under that new contract. But we let the situation come to the point where a richer club offers way much more money to him than what we do.

This is on us, not on Skriniar. If we gave him a contract to sign last spring, he would be signed by now for a 5m€ + bonuses contract. We can't keep players hanging by a thread. They want stability, they want their renewals to be signed earlier rather than later so they can focus purely on their work. Uncertain future is never a good thing. Even if Skriniar knows he will find good job, maybe even more paying job elsewhere, it's still uncertainty. Where that will be, different country most probably, it's all uncertainty.

Perisic is a prime example how not to handle a renewal and I can't be surprised anymore if we fuck up this Skriniar renewal too. He has all the leverage now. Though I wouldn't be surprised of a renewal either. Nothing surprises me anymore.

This is why getting rid of Zhangs would be so incredibly important. They are calling the shots on these matter in the end and they don't seem to have ANY knowledge how this business really works.

He is asking for €2 mil less then he can earn at psg. Hardly unreasonable. This all on management for waiting so long to start negotiating...

Waiting to start the negotiations it's not on the management, but on the owners. I hope that you realize this.
