Hard to imagine him accepting a new contract the way things are going for Inter and with City/PSG preparing bigger salaries.

Marotta messed up on this one.

Keep playing like today, and your price is going to drop. Mentally, he appears lately, to have checked out.
Well we dont even know if he will resign so who really cares about his price... but yea, its sadly not just today, he has been dogshit all season... same could be said for prettx much everyone.

The price at which players get sold by the club actually does not mean anything.

We could have sold Skriniar for 65 million or maybe he will go on a free. But the fact remains that our owners are broke as fuck and 65 million is not going to make an iota of difference.

Some posters on here are sitting around counting beans and thinking Suning can trade their way out of their debt. But the reality is that it does not matter who gets sold and for how much because no amount of sales is going to change Suning’s financial predicament.

His price is already basically nothing. If he doesn’t renew, he’s going for free in June or 20-30mil max in January.

This post is a joke, right?

The impending departure of someone who has publicly declared that he'd like to stay forever given the chance, but has been simultaneously been pushed out at every given opportunity, if happens on a free or for a measly 30 million (which will only go to cover the 40 million Zhang wants for the summer, leaving us -10 million to find two starters seeing as De Vrij is leaving as well) is first of all a sackable offence for Marotta.
Never have I seen such a mishandling of a player's contract and situation, and I've seen Milan lose three of their biggest starts for 0 money during the last two years.

Also, it symbolizes something very important; if you play for Inter, you're not playing for the club, for the fans or in the pursuit of sporting achievements.

You're simply an employee in a propogandic vessel for a Chinese company that has no idea what it's doing, has no sporting direction, is bleeding unfathomable amounts of money which can never ever conceivably be covered by Inter, is not prioritizing winning football matches or trophies, and your only role, if you're good enough, is to play well enough to get sold for a sum that momentarily lets said Chinese company keep hold of its property. That is your role. Maybe take a selfie with Steven Zhang for marketing purposes if he can be bothered to fly to Milano, but that's about it. If you're worth anything substantiable, they will do their very best force you out, no matter how important you are to the team, the locker room or the club as a whole.

I've always shook my head at the people calling for our best players to leave, but if you're Barella, Bastoni or Lautaro, I don't see how you can miss the fact that you're not appreciated - not really - by the ones in charge.
I also don't see how you'd be particularly interested or wholeheartedly engaged in figthing for someone that clearly doesn't fight for you, which I think incidentally has a lot to do with what we've seen on the pitch this season.

I was trying to prepare myself for his exit since last summer but it still fucking hurts. @Materazzi_23 i am sure you know what i mean mate.
We could expect this with this management. And I can't even blame Skriniar. This man is bleeding our club colors but it looks like he has mentally given up on staying with this club. He looks way off this season, not only in his defense but in his whole attitude. I can't explain it well but he doesn't look like the Skriniar we all know. It hurts that we are going to lose a player like this when we are the only one to blame. You should be ashamed of yourself as a club.

Somehow I hope he stays and that miraculously he extends his contract. But if we are realistic this club does not deserve a player like Skriniar. We have treated him outrageously and we will pay for that next summer. Especially because De Vrij's contract also expires and we therefore are f*cked. We never get 2 CB's for the first 11 next summer. We deserve everything what coming to us.
