I'll give it a watch when more episodes come out. This autumn is just too full with TV series.

Haven't started House of the Dragon (HotD) yet, but apparently it's good.

Early rise today after a very long week so I can watch Lord of the Rings premiere and the 2nd episode of House of Dragon..

I hate having to have to wait for episodes to get released.... I'm more of a binge-watcher. But the thrill of the suspense and everyone talking about this shit while I pay zero attention to it is something that I do miss from the earlier days of television.

This show should be watched and analysed as a fan fiction to Tolkien masterpieces, besides character names and couple other things it's completely different from Tolkien lore. I dont mind when script writers change a few things so story could be more fluid or better presented in a movie or show format but this is just stupid.

Btw best part about the show are diverse characters, Dissa and Arondir, so people actually complained about nothing. Dwarfs are also cool, and Khazad Dum was amazing.

I frankly don't care of the changes as long as they make sense within the show and the story is good. Just like the LOTR movies, there was so much criticism about the changes by the fans, but I thought the movies were great despite the changes (and in some instances, because of the changes). Changes are necessary because a Movie or TV show can never go into the level of detail books can, plus the fact that they need to target a larger audience.

For Rings of Power, it looks like they are compressing 100s of years of the book story into a few years. I think that is a great idea, even if it leads to some serious inconsistencies with the books like maybe Gandalf coming in this age or Isildur being born before the rings are made. When I watch an adaptation, I like to judge it based on the story it is telling. As long as the show stays consistent with itself and tells a compelling story, I have no problems. So far I'm enjoying the show, largely due to the spectacular visuals as the story buildup has been quite slow in the first 3 episodes. Which is not a problem if the payoffs in the later episodes are worth it. The Episodes are getting gradually better, loved the scenes in Numenor & the Orc fight with the chains in the last episode. Intrigued to see where this goes.

I hope this stays better than what happened to Wheel of Time, one of favourite book series, where the writers made changes which ruined the world building within the show so much that a lot of it doesn't make sense.

Watched cobra Kai season 5……..

It was not good. The show has to figure out if it’s a show for the new generation with a new Daniel in Miguel or if it’s about Daniel which it wasn’t for the 1st 4 seasons.

The adults are all awful except for Johnny who is funny.

Think the show has to end but will have a 6th season. The two main male actors are all getting movie roles so most likely don’t want to do the show anymore.

Just odd to bench the 2 guys the last 4 seasons was about.

I personally dont like when movies/shows jump from scene from scene, like in here you have story that takes place all around the middlearth from the start, for me it feels rushed up, i could see how someone who didnt read the books feels like. Same thing happend with Warcraft movie, they wanted to put so much story in 2 hours of movie and got nothing in the end, and i'll never forgive Duncan Jones for what he did to potentially huge franchise.

I'd like it more if they concentrated on story how the rings were made, about Celebrimbor and Sauron etc and you build it from there slowly, we get to know characters better, what drives them to do things they do etc. I understand they didnt have much story to work with, since they have rights on only part of story but still i feel like this should have been better, especially if you consider it has the biggest budget in history of tv shows.

most series nowadays take it slowly with the first season to give every important character some focus - Witcher, Sandman, Ozark - but LOTR is clearly taking it too quickly

with the budget they have, they could easily take it ez and people would love it. Script is kinda shit too

Watched Mindhunter, give it a 5/10. The lead guy is ass. Plenty of nonsense scenes and most of the killers were meh (except for the 1st guy and maybe Manson).

Bill is the man though.

I liked assassin creed as a game until I realized it was just quantum leap.

me and my girl are big fans of LOTR movies (not so much of Hobbit) and we feel Rings of Power is...okay. It looks pretty, but the scripts so far have been off-putting and generic. Definitely need better talent to be writing the show, especially since how much money they poured into it.

Will catch up with episode 5 tonight. It's good enough.

It's too slow and people are hating the butchery of the actual LOTR story.
It was a very difficult task and I think they'll not do a great job overall.
Script is below basic and the miscast is just too much.
