I don't know who pisses me off more - players who were invisible (Gosens, Calha, Lukaku after the goal) or those who tried repeatedly only to fuck it up every time like Barella and Lautaro.
Skriniar seemed extremely irritated when he was subbed out and he had a touchline quarrel with Inzaghi a bit before his sub, wonder what that was all about. Monster performance from him anyway, a lot of long balls and passes that were deadly accurate.

We don't look like a well prepared and rehearsed team at all, there is a lot of work to be done and we have to do it on the fly. Curious side of me wants to know how much time was wasted over practicing a system with an ACM/SS while waiting for Dybala deal to be closed.
I feel like the last couple of mercatos have really worn down Skriniar mentally. He’s been almost on the verge of leaving a few times now. That takes a toll. The management and Zhang don’t seem to appreciate him like they should.

The best part about the first couple weeks of the season is that it’s not that difficult (on paper anyways) outside of Lazio away. There’s some definite kinks to iron out and I’d rather us do it against the likes of Lecce and Cremonese than significantly tougher opponents.

having mediocre players on wings in 3-5-2 will always give you a shitshow

Our last gasp win will make it go under the radar, but today we were absolutely massacred by the referee. I imagine this is just a taste of what we can expect in the season where the thieves celebrate the 100th year of their ownership by the mafia.

It was a first-time referee. Could be general incompetence as opposed to corruption.

Only a moron would play 3-5-2 with shitty wingbacks, if u dont have Hakimi or any such player like dat, u play 4-3-1-2, but i guess we hv a moron as a coach.

Despite dreadful performance, i am not overly worried about attack. I believe we will figure it out. Team is just awfully behind in preparation. Coaching staff has made no adjustments for this season.

The thing that worries me is the defense. Our defensive transition in the goal we conceded was non existent. Maybe Inzaghi should reconsider high defensive line if we don't sign a fast cb.

That high defensive line is a suicide with our slow cb's. Its been a problem since the start of the last season. Skriniars bad passing is also a big reason for a lot of opponents counters.

We have Milan in round 5, and if the team doesn't wake up, they will wipe the floor with us.

I was quite disappointed with Hakan. Usually he’s a difference maker out there but yesterday he looked awkward and lethargic. I’m expecting better performances from him.
He’s been like that all preseason. Even the games where he’s been involved in a goal, he simply goes missing.

He started off like this last season too but eventually found his stride.

Dumfries, Darmian and Dimarco were our best players though. They were the only ones who could find out strikers.

The problem was Brozovic, Hakan, Miki, and to a lesser extent Barella struggled to feeding our forwards.

The 2 worriest things are the lack of quality of our wings, we are lucky to have Dumfries because hes the only one that can offer something. The other problem is our defence, the conceded goal was a tipical goal we would concede last year. Still the same, still no upgrade..
