Yeah, still. That's still either a futures (rolling) or spot. If it's a futures contract you can close or open a new one at any time. With spot, you're screwed.
Not sure what your overnight swap/rollover fee is. Wednesdays are triple days for several brokers out there, mostly on FX pairs but maybe on everything, too. Reason is they don't charge you on the weekend.

Haha down like 20% for the year……

Been raped the last 2 years in taxes for my gains. Too bad I can only take a 3k loss till I die.

10x is a rookie number.

also where i am i have no idea what the limit is.

I remember this one time i lost a few thousands in a few seconds from bean trading on xtb... i have no idea how many contracts of how many bushels i got i just know it was an obscene amount of money. I think i put something like 10, or 20, i thought I am getting 10 or 20 of the "price" turns out that fucking bitch got me 10 contracts of 5000 bushels or some insane number like that.. so the trade was like in hundreds of thousands. I got wiped out :D.

so if you want leverage, go to xtb. Just saw their limit is 1:500

I am jose mourinho (no joke he was in an ad for them.)

Yeah 1:500 is the typical "unregulated" environment.
Used to be 1:100 and 1:200 for regulated EU brokers, too. Imagine that. They capped it to 1:30 now for fx pairs and indices are 1:10. Since 2018. Then there's crypto. It's either 1:2 or 1:1. And your dodgy jurisdiction broker will offer that at 1:10 or even 1:100.

Let's not talk about swaps, spreads and commission fees.

Aaaaand it's gone :)

You know what i mean when i hate about retail i talk about people with 0 financial education if i remember correct you have a masters in econ...
Imean you know these idiots who keep on talking about short squeezes but dont even know how the % of short on the float gets calculated and reported.
Nice might hit you up currently working on a project with Banagas still early though so not sure if it materializes to the point where i have to spend multiple days in bahrain

Edit: also funny how kashkari basically came out and said markets are delusional with this current rally and that they ll keep on raising rates and are far from done.
Markets menwhile shruged and basically said lol we re going to the moon...
On side of the trade is gonna have a terrible reality check soon. (imho the longs but what do i know)
Also fuck who ever keeps on pumping carvana....

Apparently the movie is a complete dud. Why waste another 50M marketing it when you can get out now?

Some really ugly data out of china seems to disagree with that take...
Dont see EM getting out of the slump without china..

Also i wonder wether easing now with inflationary pressure pretty high is a smart thing.... Especially when all your trade partners are tightening...

Then again if Xi really goes for that 3rd term then he ll do everything to keep up the appearance of a working Economy.
Maybe being a bit less harsh on covid would be a better solution than just easing?

EDIT: Crude below 90$ brent still at 93 but also down 4% honestly was expecting for it to hold that 90 more steady...
Still gonna stay on the long side till winter starts unless we ll see some clear signs of a big recessionary shock in the short term. I just dont believe that we re gonna be cold in the winter, sounds fucken arrogant but to many votes will be lost if europeans and north americans have to go cold in winter. As in i fully expect generators to be turned on and politicians having a more favourable stance towards oil when shit hits the fan. I d be shocked if we go cold cause of Moral or environmental issues... We ve repeatedly seen that we rather have coal plants back up and running than have clean or expensive energy.
Don t see why this time it should be different or why it should be different with oil.
Even when facing a war I expect the majority of the west to rather spend more on energy than being a bit cold in winter or putting on an extra layer.

Than again that might just be me and european and North american Politicians have made some astonishingly stupid energy decisions so we might very well see this trend continue, which might go both ways on oil,.

depends on what EM, I meant in general the capital flight would slow, check moves in stne and pagseguro and EM currencies, especially brazilian real. China is fucked with 0 covid policy and no idea how they think they;ll get out of it.

In other news, killer Q from Walmart, back to business baby.

Stne with a seemingly good Q yet stock down 11% pre market....
just looked at the top line thus far though might be a good opportunity to lower cost basis...
Will have to check the full earnings first though

Also LOL BBBY Ryan cohen showing all those baggies how it s done dude made an absolute killing on BBBY...The things you can achieve when you are ready to lie and fuck over the poor is really astonishing...
Also if GME holders still dont see ryan for who he is and run for the hills they have nobody to blame but them selfes for what s about to come.
That all being said i really wish that the sec would do a more proactive job when it comes to protecting retail investors their just getting mauled in 2021/22

Not sure?
Btw i did not say it was a buy just that the topline looks intriguing at these valuations....
Personally am quite convinced that the suffering aint over but stone under 9 could be a good entry point on the long side...
Again have not gone deep into the earnings and i guess there is something belak underneath the topline why else would the stock be down 22% on the open.
