Paulo Dybala

Imagine you`re in Ausilio/Marotta`s shoes, would you offer Dybala a contract?

  • Yes - unlock defences and add value: creativity, individual brilliance, attacking outside the box

  • No - serious doubts about his fitness and contribution when it matters the most

I've been talked out of the 3-4-1-2. With Alexis Hakan or Correa I think it could work because they have a higher work rate than Dybala. Dybala gives little to nothing defensively.

Reports of Dybala agreeing personal terms with Man Utd for 6M - surely the preference would be Internazionale!!!

Dybala to United is honestly the perfect fit. A luxury attacking player going to United while they continue to ignore actual problems in their team. I'd be surprised if United finished 5th next year. I see no chance they get top four.

3412 is a flawed formation. You can’t convince me otherwise. You would need 2 pure holding midfielders (which we don’t have) and even then I’m not sure it would work.

This assumed Dybala is 100% fit for every game.

He will play 70% of the season, enough to rotate through with Lautaro and Lukaku. On the rare occasion maybe all three.
As for system, good players will find a way. They're all naturally different and should compliment each other.

Lautaro busts his ass on the pitch but Lukaku and Dybala are lazy as fuck. They’d offer nothing when we didn’t have the ball and Barella and Brozo would be overrun in midfield. It wouldn’t be good IMO

We can play like that against minions in seria A which are many.

Lukaku is not lazy imo. He just doesn't have enough stamina and energy to press constantly. But for me is ok as long as he saves it for counter attack bursts.

The last time we were trying for a 3-4-1-2 was a totally different situation imo. Perisic his first season as a wingback, originally a left winger and Hakimi on the right side. Dumfries and Gosens are on the downside regarding attacking capabilities compared to the first two. But they are a right- and leftback from origin. Also Lautaro isn’t a ‘lazy’ attacket and Dybala wasn’t ‘lazy’ either. Although that changed the last couple of seasons. I won’t say 3-4-1-2 will be a succes for us nowdays, but it’s different than the last time we tried.

Gosens an inferior attacking option ? Are we talking about the same player who has 15 & 17 g/a in his last 2 full seasons.

Whether we sign Dybala or not I wouldn't be surprised to see Inzaghi try a 3-4-1-2. Hakan, Correa, Mikhataryan, and Sanchez can all play that role so we aren't short on options.

Let me quote it differently. Gosens and Dumfries are more of a ‘running up and down the flank’ type of wingback with more defensive attributes then the technical given players as Perisic and Hakimi. Offcourse Gosens and also Dumfries are a attacking treat but in a different way than Hakimi and Gosens.

Tommy says il trio perfetto, and then goes on to say Correa.

We can't play a Lukaku Lautaro dybala trident. It won't work. Rotation and options is fine but that's it

In FIFA you can, but i real life you need a balance between defense and all out attacking.

Lautaro-Lukaku are sure starters, Dybala will serve as a first sub foremost. But maybe Paulo will blast his way to a sure starter when he starts to constantly assist. This is how you stay competitive. Take your best player and he must be worried about minutes. Obv hard to do with our finances, but we are almost good enough for a scudetto fight with Milan and Rube.

Can Dybala play a 10 like role?

And against crap teams that’s the only way I see the 3 of them playing at the same time unless we want to make Lautaro a winger
