I feel like this is what I've was saying like a year ago. I do not see us getting better, I see us getting worse.

Can Marotta do deals without Zhang's money? Probably not. If Zhang says "you need to make cuts or you're out of your job", Marotta is fucked either way. Especially as far defence goes, because we CLEARLY don't have enough quality there.

The Prisma investigation has little to do, techincally, with the fifteen points. That was a sporting-based penalty by FIGC.

Prisma is hosted in the criminal court based on potential financial fraud, which is where, realistically, we could see the real damage being dealt.
I know innocent until proven but can we stop calling it potential financial fraud? It was and is financial fraud no ifs buts and maybes...
It s like calling the ftx story potential financial fraud...
All it does is leave uninformed people with the opinion that there might not have been fraud which is not the case the fraud is there and obvious, only question is if italy has the balls to prosecute it s most beloved arm of the mafia.

Oaktree submits bid to invest in Serie A media business, sources say

MILAN, March 31 (Reuters) - Investment fund Oaktree (OAK_pa.N) has submitted a preliminary non-binding offer to invest 1.75 billion euros ($1.90 billion) into the media business of Italy's Serie A soccer league, people familiar with the matter said on Friday.

Serie A's media business, which mainly consists of the broadcast rights for live matches, has drawn interest from international banks including JP Morgan , as well as private equity investors at a time when Italian clubs are looking at ways to boost revenue.

Oaktree would structure the proposed investment through a combination of debt and cash which would imply an enterprise value for the company managing Serie A's media rights of 15 billion euros, the people said.

The Oaktree investment would comprise a debt tranche worth 1 billion euros and 750 million euros of cash in return for a 5% stake in a venture managing the media arm.

The proposal would be subject to a lock-up period of five years, the sources added, asking not to be named because the proposal is not public.

Serie A, which on Friday said it will hire a financial adviser to study approaches from private equity firms and banks, declined to comment. Oaktree also declined to comment.

Oaktree previously provided a 275 million euro loan to Inter Milan in 2021 to help the club weather the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

It'll be rejected. And then in 12 months time they'll go with a significantly lower offer from someone far less qualified. That's just the Italian football way of doing things.

Last time Super league shenanigans blocked this when the big three conspired behind everyone's back, Agnelli being the mastermind there.

LAWYERS WANT JUVENTUS SERIE A TITLE ASSIGNED TO NAPOLI

A legal appeal has been presented to strip Juventus of the 2018-19 Serie A title and hand the trophy to the team that finished second that season, namely Napoli.

The Bianconeri are dealing with numerous legal problems and appealing against the 15-point penalty, which was imposed for artificially inflating transfer fees in order to boost capital gains.

That hearing will be held on April 19, but meanwhile there is another case being taken out against the club based on the 2018-19 season.

The action was lodged with the TAR tribunal in the Lazio region by lawyers representing the Codacons (a consumer protection agency) and the Associazione Club Napoli Maradona.

This appeal claims Juventus ‘violated the principles of the sporting justice system’ and therefore ‘altered the regularity of the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns.’

It asks for Juve to be stripped of the 2018-19 Serie A title, which would then be handed to the team that finished second, namely Napoli.

This too is linked with the same alleged financial irregularities, even though the wiretapped telephone conversations used to inflict the 15-point penalty were from 2021 onwards.

The same lawyers also appealed to be shown the Juventus appeal and be allowed to participate in the discussion over the 15-point penalty.

The odds of either of these cases even being heard are slim and they are more about trying to make a point than actually hoping to get the Scudetto revoked.

Even in the Calciopoli scandal, titles were revoked and left unassigned, except for the 2005-06 campaign, which had only just been completed.

They should just vacate those titles, no reason to hand them to anyone.

2005-2006 was given to us because UEFA demanded that title winner needs to be there for UEFA comps (2004-2005 title was vacated).

Another scudetto of honesty would be superb. Would take it with honour.

Only another 30 to strip from gobbi before we get to their actual number.

I don't know what's more embarrasisng. Being 5 points behind Lazio or just 6 points ahead of Juve even with their 15 points deduction.

Napoli were clearly robbed, but I don't think we deserve the 2020 one. Jube were better overall.
