Let's hope City get relegated for this. One less filthy rich oil club in England is a good thing. Anything tk damage that leagues reputation also is a good thing
City winning it every year damages it the best imo

Hopefully Newcastle wins a title soon as well

LOL ''replay matches''... will Mancini have to gather his 2011 squad and play?... Fucking throw them out of the league and be done with this bullshit... I know already they gonna get some shit fine, like not being able to buy players in the summer or whatever, cause they will just give money to Uefa/Fifa and that will be all... btw this same stuff is gonna happen with Chelsea 5 years from now and everyone will be shocked. City not playing by the ffp rules has been known for year. I've been saying it at least 4 years ago. This is no surprise at all. The only surprise will be when they don't get punished for it properly.

For a long time I hated Man City because while we suffered tremendously under FFP, they got away with blatant financial doping, despite it being laid bare in the football leaks from Rui Pinto in 2015.

Abu Dhabi funnelled money into the club through inflated sponsorship deals with shell companies owned by themselves. 101 stuff. This was a top-level, executive-level strategy, and they even had a name for this secret project to cheat FFP. They called it "Operation Longbow", referencing how the English (Man City) used a "secret weapon" (the longbow / financial doping) to beat the French (UEFA and Platini's FFP) in the Battle of Agincourt. The fucking nerve of these rats.

That said, my general disdain and lack of interest in the Premier League was such that after some time, I was able to look the other way on my dislike of Man City as I simply disliked other clubs more. For whatever reason I've always hated Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool to some extent, while Man City was just a drugged up club with oil money.

To be honest, I enjoyed watching the pompous Man Utd fans endure a post-Ferguson banter era as well as those unemployed AFTV trash ranting about their loser club. Felt good that no matter how much of a joke we were, Arsenal were even worse. To that effect, Man City was the team simply demolishing these two (and beating Liverpool to the title several times). They were the vehicle to my enjoyment of Man Utd and Arsenal fans misery.

Now though, hoping they get the comeuppance they deserve. Though I was able to conveniently shelve my disdain towards them for some time, the truth is what they did was fucking disgusting and they deserve to be relegated to League 2 for it. Would still make me sick to see Arsenal win the league though.

This is a conspiracy against the mighty Premier League.
All funds in the league are legitimate.

I agree with everything you said, but I have to make you reconsider hating Arsenal this season just because you don't like them historically.

Arsenal has a really nicely constructed team of "nobodies and rejects", like Martinelli and Saka started young for Arsenal because some other players were idiots and the gamble worked out. Odegaard was a Real reject. Xhaka used to be Arsenal's worst starter. Zinchenko didn't play enough for City.

This Arsenal is here to show that if you trust the process, you can reap the rewards. Arteta could've been let go after multiple strings of horrible results, but now they are on course to win the league. They actually are the best team in the league right now.

I will need to see Arsenal finish it out without choking before I call them the best team. City will find their form again and there is more than them to worry about. United are less than ten points behind them now and look like their best form may be ahead. Even Newcastle are consistently squeezing out wins and playing with a ton of resilience.

Can Arsenal keep their cool if City rebounds and United keep this form they're on? Might be a more dramatic finish than them running away with it like it looked a while back.

I’ve met loads of Arsenal fans over the years and I wanna see them lose just because of the people that support them. 98% of ‘em have been pretentious twats because they went unbeatable 20 fucking years ago.

Also yeah looking forward to the slap on the wrist for City. Maybe a £50k fine and a couple games behind closed doors. What a shocker that a club run by corrupt billionaires is writing their own rules on how they do things.

Honestly the only big team supporters that are bearable are Chelsea's, but you have to discriminate between new age and old age fans. Abramovich era fans are dicks for example, and they're the internet majority.
The older generation has its issues with... incompatibility with modern morals, but at least they're proper football fans that aren't pretentious or arrogant.

I don’t caree much about PL but I don’t like how Arsenal and their fans portrait them as underdog story. They’re not, same as Liverpool.

Since everyone in the PL is spending giant sums of money, i dont consider anyone an underdog, especially a team like Arsenal, who has a very good team and spend lots of money on that team.

They've like a - 300m net spend in the last 2 seasons and everyone is saying arteta has done such a good job, they are underdogs etc. They've been spending like fuck, would be a disaster if they weren't fighting for titles after their outlay

Football is being completely ruined. The first seeds were planted once the CL got it's birth. Slowly, step by step, the gap between the teams began to grow. Nowadays football is just a product. In my opinion a nice example of extreme form of capitalism.
I'd rather watch lower the leagues. There is more passion, more competitiveness, you can taste the sport.
