I don't remember the last mercato where we weren't seriously linked with even one player. I assume journalists knowing our financial situations don't even bother to check any links.
the journalist know already suning company is bankrupt especially Zazzaroni and Commisso, they know its wasting time to report anything from the club.

Exactly. Switching to 4 man defence is actually pretty expensive operation. Expensive and Zhangs don't go along.
Not really, we can swtich to 4-3-1-2 right about now. We have the players for that system but Inzaghi won't do it.

I'm sure we'll manage to enter January 2024 with Calhanoglu and Bastoni on the verge of leaving for free.

Switching to a back four wouldn't be that expensive. Dimarco can definitely play as a LB, provided we have a more defensive-minded RB. We would need to sign a few wingers, but that could easily be funded by using the money we're going to waste on Lukaku. A 4-3-3 can survive with two three strikers (Lautaro, Dzeko, and the corpse of Correa). It won't happen, of course.

The primary goal this summer needs to be fixing the defense. Skriniar is leaving for free, de Vrij blows, and our backups are all in their 30s. We need at least two CBs; one good enough to start. I assuming this will be Smalling (kill me) and Milenkovic (fuck you, Marotta).

I don't care what we do in attack. I just beg, please, don't sign (or loan) Lukaku. Let him go. He's Chelsea's problem.
Easily funded by using the money we're going to waste on Lukaku? Lukaku cost 8m€ on transfer fee last summer. His salary is big but the overall cost of the player is 20m€. I doubt we gonna spend even that EVEN IF we loaned him for next season. I can't see how we can get two starting wingers with 20m€ or less annual cost.

Also we would need to sack Inzaghi who has that 5.5m€ net salary for next season.

If we play without wingers as suggested, we would need kickass fullbacks to maintain the width which is so important in today's football. Dimarco could do it, but we would have to invest to the other wing. And we don't have enough midfielders, we don't have a proper AM (no, Calhanoglu is not one, neither is Mhkitaryan). Expensive acquisition as well.

I reiterate, it would be expensive to switch to back 4.

And don`t forget we need to reduce our wage bill. If I am correct ours is 127m, none of other competitors bar Juventus is over 100m. This team is still expensive.

Formation is a small problem when we cannot develop players and we keep having deadweights. Regardless if we play 3-5-2, 4-3-3, or 10-0-0, we will still struggle when:
  1. Our bought players perform worse than they did in previous clubs (Correa, Gosens)
  2. Our current players' form freefalls swiftly (De Vrij)
  3. Our management loses every single braincell and wasting money on trashes (Correa, Lukaku instead of Dybala :palm: )

This is indeed gone way too deep. We are having lots of chances to hit new banter era in 1-2 years if fucking Zhang stays as owner.
Whole league is broke, all decent players will leave anytime soon from Serie A, we are already in that trend.

This time it might get worse, we might hit rock bottom, because our chances of success and failure will equal fken Sassouolo if changes are not made asap.

Is this total, or P.A?
Does anyone have a spreadsheet of the team Salaries, 127M seems to high for me. 120M should be a competitive squad, but 3/4 of the team is bums.

Toro; 9M
And maybe Lukaku; 9M

6M
Skriniar
Barella
Brozo
Çalhanoğlu
Correa
Bastoni

And the rest should be 3M and under....EASY

Lads, we're okay.

One more year and Zhangs ownership will be moved on, we will literally be a carbon copy of Milan. Oaktree will wipe the debt and sell at a reasonable price

Letting DDA walk is absolutely the right thing to do which is why I’m calling bs.
And who we will get to replace him and Handanovic if we don't even have money to begin with. We are losing Skriniar and de Vrij alongside DDA and Handanovic means we have to spend money which we don't have or get even worse replacements.

It doesn't matter if we go left or right we will crash very soon I'm afraid.

I’m fine with keeping Handa, if he’s willing to take less. It would be good to have that presence around for Onana. D’Ambrosio on the other is completely redundant to Darmian in my eyes. I’d rather have Darmian and we don’t need two of these ex-Torino Jack of all trades types.
