Meh, I still saw him as our weakest link today, just like Dumfries

He just looks a lot better with Bastoni swapping with him all the time

The ball he sent to Bastoni on the first goal was far from perfect, Bastoni actually made 100% from it.

Good assist though.

I actually really want to like him, but as a LWB he doesn't convince me. I think he'd be more suited to a LM in a 4-4-2.

Still thought he was excellent today.

Completely average? Not really. He was a complete opposite to what he has been in last match vs Viola. Just because he wasted a great opportunity to score or had some misplaced crosses, doesn't mean he was average. For me he was great though. He was almost everywhere and had contribution in both offensive and defensive aspect of the game.

That assist for Dzeko great build-up by the team in overall, but Di Marco's run and also ball control before delivering the ball was pretty good. Credit where it's due. He stepped up tonight, although the beginning of the game was kinda clumsy for the team as we were too nervous and we lacked concentration, but eventually everything was sorted out once we scored.

Despite the doubts about him, he is a consistent offensive contributor that can potentially provide several key passes in a game. He may be a liability in some occasions defensively but I really like having a wing back this technically valid, his left foot is lethal.

Fantastic first touch on the Dzeko goal too.

But apparently he's too slow despite all evidence pointing to the contrary

Why is it so hard for people to understand that some players just like to slow things down because they have a "playmaking" habit? Like Cassano for example. You gave him the ball and he took ages to play around with it but in his earlier days you made him run towards the ball and you'd never call that guy slow.

Dimarco was awesome yesterday and I really adore this little guy. He has by far the most passion for the club, his offensive traits are amazing and he is a good freekick taker. As long as Gosens is in such a bad form, Federico has to start.

Just compare the body language of those two: Dimarco seems fearless whereas Gosens is way too quiet and sometimes seems "afraid" of the whole situation. Great game yesterday and he was way better than Dumfries.

BUT: If we really have the ambition to get back to the top, our left- and rightbacks have to be upgrated.

For now let's cheer for this guy because in all my years as an Inter fan (since 2001) he is like the first youth product who really contributes

I dont think its fair for gosens to say he in bad form , the guy is barely get any opportunities to play, how any player can enter to form like this?
I also like dimarco and he flourish against team like plzen that not even can put us in minimal danger, although i want to see dimarco succeed here, he really fall off against teams in our level that can put us in some danger..

it's clear Gosens can't do some things that Dimarco can

and apart from one Barca games, Dimarco has been a real liability against the big sides

His assist was great, but apart from that he wasted some good chances. He is decent against weak teams like Pilsen and a liability against stronger opponent. Nothing new here really.

Miss a lot of chances :D

In Inter we haven't seen anything done by Dimarco and failed by Gosens.
Before Inter Gosens was 10 times better.

Passion is not everything, I'm sure Rano also had a passion but........

he was completely average as he usually is
Average? We must have been watching a different Dimarco. He was giving Plzen fits and they had no idea how to deal with him on that left side. And that touch to bring down the long ball from Barella on the goal was absolutely sublime.

His assist was the only good thing he did last night. But some probably watched a different match than i did.

He smashed the ball right in the goalkeeper and destroyed a few other attacks with bad decisions.

Of course they didn't deal with him considering their modest quality.

I's funny because Gosens has never had a better performance than Dimarco's against Plzen since coming to Inter, and seeing his form before that at Atalanta I'd even argue that it's been 18 months since he last showed anything special, imo. So other than status or transfer fee I really don't see based on what he should be a clear starter in this team ahead of Dimarco.

To be fair he hasn't started that many games for us but when he was given a chance most of the time he was never incredibly good/effective/decisive. I'm all for giving players the chances they deserve to show their worth, it's the same for Bellanova and Asllani, but imo, it's very clear that despite all his flaws Dimarco doesn't make it any easy for Inzaghi to drop him. In terms of mentality, offensive threat, dynamism he's delivering even more than was expected.
