It doesn't look good but i am not hitting the panic button just yet. Till international break we have 3 matches:

Torino
@Plzen
@Udinese

Anything less than 9 points in these matches and i would start worrying about our season.
Udinese and Torino are plucky opponents. I would be shocked if we got 6 of 6 from them in our current form.

Inzaghi said in press conference he didn't send a message to dressing room. Instead he simply rested Handanovic, De Vrij and Barella for Torino who will all return on Saturday.

Looking at the shitty alternatives, better to keep Limone. Also we don't hv money for a top coach with these chinese crooks.

It was always going to be a very difficult 2nd season for Inzaghi, Suning hasnt exactly helped him though.

This is essentially his first *real* season. Last season it was still 70% Contes Inter atleast and mentality was good coming off a scudetto win.

This season, not so much.

This season Inzaghi needs to add more of his own ideas, create a new identity and reinvent the team and so far he has failed dramatically at doing so. He doesnt seem to have an answer when things are rough, other than just throwing random subs on in desperation.

Could be a very long season if he doesnt start showing something positive. The whole team is playing terribly, thats obviously not a player problem, its a coaching problem.

Sacking him before the summer is probably a bad idea though, as Inter have no money. Unless suddenly finishing 4th comes in jeapardy.

So he is giving up Champions League? What kind of mentality is that…

Yeah that's an interesting take for sure.

Maybe he's been ordered to simply get that top 4 spot, specially after the CL group draw. So tries to make sure, he will definitely get that. But interesting, resting some of your starters in the biggest CL Meazza match of the whole season probably.

Everybody is playing shit under Simone. He is the reason for everything.

I never thought that I would miss Conte that much.

But you guys don't understand, pound-for-pound he is better than Conte.

-Brehme, 2022.

I have yet to witness a dumber decision than the fiasco last night. Three defenders went out, three new defenders in, two goals down at home.

Pretty much agree with his take to let go UCL campaign. We are not in Muenchen and Barca's league and we have weak bench, just focus on the domestic when we still have chance.
The decision to bench Onana after his performance against Muenchen though, is very perplexing.

Just 1 goal scored against a big Champions league team under Inzaghi. 0 at home.

If that’s not the definition of a pussy coach I don’t know what is

What? Thats a huge looser mentality and is not acceptable for a team like Inter..... Also how the fuck would we expect the players to be winners if the coach would go nope not gonna win against bayern and barce just let it be.....
If it was true that Inzaghi decided to throw champions that there would be an instant reason for him to be fired that would just be unacceptable. Both from a sporting and a financial point of view.

Side note: I m not in favour of firing him but hi throwing CL on purpose would def change that

Only winning scudetto can reedem that. So far we beat Lecce(big luck) , Spezia and Cremonese, worst teams in the league, lost both big games against Lazio and merda. Nope. I dont see us winning scudetto. If he fails to deliver top 4 than he should fuck off, not now.

Is he just saying that, or did he really throw CL?

Cause the line up against Bayern makes a lot of sense to me, gave us the best shoot against a team with probably at least double our budget and team worth?

Things I think that are truly his problems, are his sub game, and the fixate on some players, the willingness of play young players, not understanding the team cannot play high d-line.

For team morale and players playing shit, I blame it lot more on management, not knowing what the squad will be like till the last day of transfer market is tolling a lot.

His game plan on the other hand, is generally pretty good; the options he has is limited and contradicting though. Like we have midfields that are more for possession, hence high pressing is needed, but we don't have CBs for high d-line, so we play from the back, then seize control, and siege, but then we don't have a clinical box striker, like rfU mentioned in Skriniar thread:

management should have sat down with Inzaghi, identify the requisite players that suite his style of play and proceed accordingly. Unfortunately I don't see much of that going on. We have players that fit the 352 system but don't fit Inzaghi's style of play. And the results are clear to see. To often slow, disjointed and uninspired. We play scared.

The best we should really aim for is knock down all the weaker teams in the league, and that should give us a shot for the scudetto.

if inter wants to employ someone, before inzaghi the club should employ a new director instead of Marotta. Inter should evaluate Marotta job first.
Marotta did well this season under the circumstances. Bear in mind, that we lost only Perisic, but with Gosens in our hands. The proper integration of the latter is on Inzaghi. Lukaku is an update in attack, and it's obvious that Asllani is talented. Why 5G gets more chances that him, you can ask Inzaghi.
