We're going to deeply regret letting Bremer and Dybala get away this season. I think not completing those deals could be the reason why we might not do as well as some of us hope we will.

It'll be brought up every time we lose, tie, or an important player gets injured.

It's not so much the players themselves but the fashion it happened and the fact that there was no backup plan.

Going into the season eyes wide open. It is never as bad as it seems, nor as good.

We have decent squad bar Juve. Skriniar/Dumfries cannot be sold but we do need a back up for Ranno - Defense wins league, it always my first priority.

If we sell Skriniar or Dumfries the "Scudetto challenge" becomes the "finish 4th" challenge.

Do we switch formation at that point? a 4-2-2-2

Rano never played.

Back up are Dimarco, d’am

6th Cb should be a youth player don’t waste any additional money and keep Skriniar and Dumfries

youth player is a forbidden phrase on Inzaghi's eyes. even Inzaghi personally wants Acerbi ex former CB to fill that post.

You can't just rely on any youth player when you need an emergency CB. it's simple, guys. Ranocchia was solid when he was called upon within his last few years here.

I would want Viti, or some other young italian or alternatively there has to be a talent in Ligue 1, HNL, Bundesliga or Eredivisie.

I read on twitter that we've spent more money resolving contracts than buying players this summer, is that true? That actually seems true
It's not true if you factor in Lukaku's loan fee, but if you consider all our loan + option/obligation shenanigans it's pretty close.

Next year Marcus Thuram is free, i hope we sell Correa, then take him. After sell Casedei and Pinamonti we dont need sell anymore big player.

Akanji and Asllani are the player we need this season, i hope they can bring something.

Somehow i see similar at Bellanova and Mkhitaryan with Correa and Dzeko.

I was really hyped when the mercato begun. We sealed Onana and Lukaku (and some random guys i never heard of as Bellanova and Asllani and a corpse in Miki) i thought we would get Dybala and Bremer and with some luck another midfielder on loan. And a Perisic replacement offcourse. That didn’t aged well, and i feel it in my enthousiasm For this season. It is even less then last season, where Lukaku, Conte and Hakimi left us. I just don’t have any faith we will win another Scudetto with this leadership and Limone. I hope they prove me wrong tho!

So fair to me the starting 11 is stronger than last season

Bench way worse and we have even less money. Hope the team turns in better performances going forward but it’s just doesn’t have the depth to play 3 cups.

Hope copa italia and champions league is used to test youth players and the bench. Champions league make it out of the group then stop fking around.

I want to win the league title.

If we keep this squad + Akanji eventually, it will be a decent mercato for me.
To me, it's definitely even good. Not something we expected but given we have kept the core, can't be unhappy. Akanji is definitely a decent transfer and I'm sure he won't be shit at Inter, he's gonna be a backup player, not someone we will rely on this season. Let's hope we can pull it off.

How are we so shit at selling that we've resolved multiple contracts and are letting the clock run down on Lazaro, Dalbert, Gagliardini & co., and yet we copped 35m (40 with bonuses) from Pinamonti and Casadei

It's easy to sell things people want. You can cite numerous examples of times we've done well selling established players: Icardi, Kondogbia, Politano, Barbosa, Lukaku and even Hakimi (to a lesser extent). The problem we run into is when we have mediocre players who are only wanted by bottom of the barrel Serie A sides.

The real problem is we've made so many horrible purchases. There are only 15-20 (mostly English) clubs in the world who can compete with the wages we offer our players. So when a player makes it clear he isn't worthy of those wages the market of where you can sell said player is almost non-existent. Lazaro is the perfect example. He's not good enough for Inter, but he's plenty good enough for more than half the clubs in Serie A. Is he going to take a massive pay cut to play for them? Usually, no. Which means we get stuck loaning them out for the duration of their contracts.

This is why having an Italian and homegrown players is so important.

True but look the talent just isnt there how many players come out of the primavera in Italy and are good. Pretty much none.
