I dont think Inter is crazy enough to sell Bastoni. He was Inter youth project trained year after year...... zhang only makes the fans more angrier if he still proceed that shit.

He's not an Inter youth product. We got him from Atalanta.
This reminds me what a colleague from Bergamo had told me about Bastoni at the time Juve signed Caldara:

"If you think Caldara is good just wait to see the kid we have in primavera. His name is Bastoni. Remember the name because he's gonna be the next great Italian cb".

He had also said Melegoni would have a great career but he was way off with that.

I also thought Melegoni was huge talent tbh. But he's still young, he might blossom as he age

Bringing Bremer won't mean much if they sell Bastoni. One step forward, two steps behind.
If we sell Bastoni we better have a real reason, like he’s unprofessional. Even then it would be difficul to let him go at this age. Maybe tactically we feel like his position is the most replaceable? I mean we’ve seen what pure athleticism can do in this league. Would our level drop as much replacing Bastoni with a great athlete or selling Lautaro and needing to find another 20+ goal a season striker? I can certainly tell you what’s more expensive.

Best theoretical replacement would be Benoît Badiashile or Evan N’Dicka.

Bastoni should be last person for considering a sale from our club. we had nurtured him into our culture and as our bandiera since he arrived in 2017 ( age of 18). rare sample from Inter youth project that succeed to break the first team.

We shouldn’t consider selling him at all unless the number is simply unbelievable.

The squad has other issues, but defense wins championships. A theoretical Bremer, Skriniar, Bastoni backline would be hard for anyone to play against.

The reason would be the club needs money, right now.

It might be time related. If there is interest and legit offers for Bastoni sooner than for Lautaro/Barella, we might need to it. Time is critical resource in the transfer market.

The thing is I don't believe we need money immediately. I think it's more Suning want money ASAP so they can expedite the process of selling us. Suning nor the club will fold because they didn't get an additional 30-40 mil by selling a star player as opposed to just selling pinamonti and the fodder we currently have. I made a ton of excuses for Suning last summer. Not a chance I'm doing that any more.

The same argument was said last summer about Hakimi sale but the reality is forwards will always attract interest because there aren't many top options available. As many predicted, both Lukaku and Lautaro brought offers to the club and in the end Hakimi sale could have been avoided.

I fear a repeat this season.

Many teams are going to look for forwards this summer and the market for top options is really small. It may take time but it will happen. Let's say for the sake of the argument they rush and sell Bastoni now. What do you do if you receive a massive offer for Lautaro late in the summer? Do you believe they will say no? Because i don't.

I don't want to see Bastoni sold in vain because management had no patience.

Do you need to sell starters? Sell De Vrij, Dumfries and some youngsters. If that isn't working wait to see how market for forwards unfolds. Don't make a rush decision you could regret.

Difference is last summer Lukaku left by his own choice, Lautaro is not Lukaku and he doesn't want to go anywhere. He might go if the club pushes him, but the dynamic is completely different to Lukaku case.

It's easier to sell Bastoni than De Vrij or Dumfries. Like A LOT easier. If you don't have a buyer for these guys, what can you do? If the offers for De Vrij starts with 15m€ and Dumfries with 25m€ and you need more money, your boss breathing behind you that you need to make money right now you fucken cunt, it's not an easy situation for the management team.

It's hard to be a seller if you are forced to be a seller. Buyers know it and they might have their own reasons not to place offers early.

Will Suning lose the club to Oaktree if we don't raise 60m? Do we even know if that 60m is to pay off the Oaktree loan and its interest? I was under the impression the 60m was a club retainer for running costs of the club. A self-financed retainer.

Bastoni doesn't want to leave either but if the club ask him to he will. It will be the same for Lautaro.

No one said it's easy but you need to search for alternatives before you go for the nuclear option. For me Bastoni is the last i would sell.

At this point i am not even sure Oaktree would be worse than Suning. Sure setting a wage bill limit would suck but Suning's plan of big sales every summer isn't sustainable either.

We don't know the details. Like when the club demands the deals to be done etc.

Let's hope we don't rush to sell Bastoni or shit like that.
