It's such a moronic answer. Liverpool had no incentive to win that match. It would be different if they were in a position to come out and show some initiative.
-If you could replay any game from the season, which one would it be?

-“The first leg against Liverpool because they’ve only lost once in 2022 and it was against us in the second leg. If we hadn’t gone down to ten men, who knows…

This part of Inzaghi interview was so weird for me
With that being said, he probably didn't want to say Bologna because the season isn't over yet. There's still a chance.

Sure, but most coaches would struggle with the lack of options he had for the issues the team faced. If Lautaro and Dzeko weren't scoring and your only option is putting Sanchez on then that's not a problem you can fix fully.

I think we've played better football under Inzaghi compared to previous coaches. Let's see how he does with a (hopefully) stronger squad next season.

Second place in the league, first year here. I recall another coach who did the same.
Y'all are too dramatic. Losing sucks, can't win every year.
We aren't second place because of how we played in 2022. His start to the season in 2021 was phenomenal. His three month run from January through March threw away a title.

I'd put that on our forwards. Alexis injured, Correa not good, Lautaro completely incapable of finishing, Dzeko............... Thank god for the players who were scoring during that period (Perisic, CBs).

Exactly. 1 point against Genoa and Sassuolo. 7 points in 7 games in February-March. That's where title was lost.

Good football doesn't mean much if you don't get the results. I take winning ugly over losing beautifully every single day.

Thank you.

People hating on him act like they didn't say shit like we'd be struggling to fight for top 4 when Lukaku and Hakimi were sold.

The only disgraceful thing he did was signing Correa.

The results were better than we thought they would be, let's not act like we fought for a CL spot this season. We become a better team with Bremer and Dybala next season, let's see where the summer leads us.

We could've been juve. Ugly football and no results.

You're right, it's not the same. We lost a HUGE amount over the summer. The best forward, coach, and winger in serie a. And we still almost won the scudetto.

Lotito got his vengeance by making us overpay for Correa
Don't get me started with that bum Correa. I was the first to be strongly against him last summer but i was accused of being a hater. I hope everyone enjoyed Correa's contribution this season.

We also had to stop 8 times in a row champions with Ronaldo there.

No one expected to win the league this season.

However,

When we were 7 points ahead in February, with a game in hand, and we finish second, that's a failure.
