Florentino Perez probably regrets the whole thing by now...

Nah, I`m reading that it will be back following free feedback from around the world :D

Super League of Europe, the new variant proposed:

- There are no permanent members. This would be the main change from the version launched on 19 April.

- Clubs will qualify based on performances in domestic championships.

- There will be 20 participating teams, and all European leagues will be given the chance to qualify.

- There will also be a secondary division of the Super League, also with 20 teams.

The new Super League will have its own charter planes, and fans will receive free transportation to away matches. In the final, 70 percent of the seats in the stadiums will be reserved for the fans of the two finalists, and for half of the fans, the ticket prices will have a maximum ceiling.

The new competition will be ready next summer, when the European Court of Justice will rule in the proceedings intended by UEFA to the founders of the first variant of the competition.

Interesting OPED, in today's Guardian suggesting the the "super league" with the authors caveats might be a good thing for football, after all.

Yeah, announced on the 2nd by Agnelli apparently. Fucking gross that it's Agnelli led, but at this point with Suning remaining in charge how the fuck else are we going to compete with anybody?

It's really always just been a matter of time. No one really abandoned it. That was just smoke and mirrors to appease the fans and uefa for a bit. The court cases going ahead was always there.

In the end Perez always gets what he wants.

I read Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico, Inter, Milan, Juve, Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea and Man City are the ten teams that will return to the super league.

Ceferin's warning: If clubs play in the Super League, they can't play in UEFA's competitions

Aleksander Ceferin has launched another stinging criticism of the European Super League, with the UEFA president warning the clubs planning to revive it that doing so would see them excluded from the Champions League.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly plotting to resurrect the project, and Ceferin made his feelings clear at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit in London.

"I have to say that those speaking about the Super League are not speaking about football. I am sick and tired of this non-football project," he said.

"First, they launched their nonsense of the idea in the middle of a pandemic. Now, we read articles that they are planning to launch another idea now in the middle of a war.

"Do I have to speak more about these people? They obviously live in a parallel world.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli was in attendance at the event in London, and Ceferin went on to take aim at him directly for his role in the launch of the Super League project.

"They criticised UEFA and the ECA [European Club Association]... one of them was chairman of the ECA," he said.

"I have quotes from where [Agnelli] was praising the system a week before they launched the Super League."

Threat to Super League clubs

Ceferin went on to make clear to the three clubs of the consequences of reviving the Super League.

"They can play their own competition, nobody forbids them," he said.

"But if they play their own competition, they can't play in our competition."

But are we still going to be bottom of the table when it comes to super league revenue?

Great news. This superleague thing is complete madness. Clubs full of debts want new superior competition to solve their finances not caring about anything else. No thanks.
But are we still going to be bottom of the table when it comes to super league revenue?
Yes. That would be the case. And Italian clubs will be mid table at best there result wise,no way they will have the same treatment, money, prestige etc. like Real and Barcelona for example. It's mind boggling people can't see that. This is not a good league for Inter and this is not a good league for football in general. Standing together with Agnelli and Perez is complete madness and I'm glad we are finally out of this.
