Pleased as punch, with his continual improvement and integration into the side. Hope it continues through the CL fixtures and beyond.

Some of his decision making was still questionable. But overall definitely getting better. Cagliari and Salernitana are the kind of games Dumfries need. Going forward has never been a problem for him. His issue is not knowing when to come back. (Staying back 100% isn't a solution either. He needs to learn from Perisic in terms of tactical awareness). Perhaps we'll only know how good he is when we face Rube in Supercoppa.

Dumfries gives me weird feelings whenever I watch him play. Several times he just bulldozed the entire right pitch i.e. Hakimi flashbacks. Then he didn't know what to do with the ball, dragged it back to think, and let the defender clear it out for a corner.

Like Kubo Jun in Buttobi Itto :D

This one gave me a good laugh, but anyway they could have him for 40 mln.

Real Madrid are reportedly pondering the prospect of signing 25-year-old Dutch right-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan in January.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Denzel Dumfries remains on the agenda for Real Madrid heading into the January transfer window. The Spanish giants are exploring the prospect of signing the 25-year-old right-back from Serie A champions Inter Milan.

Denzel Dumfries joined Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven in August 2021 and has established himself as one of the best wing-backs in Serie A. While the Dutch international experienced teething problems initially, he has overcome his struggles superbly in recent weeks to become a key figure for the Nerazzurri.

The 25-year-old has made 20 appearances across all competitions this season, chipping in with two goals and three assists in the process. Dumfries’s performances have helped the Serie A champions get over the loss of Achraf Hakimi in the summer, and he has gone from strength to strength. The player’s exploits have now been noticed by Real Madrid.

Interestingly, Real Madrid had been keen on signing Dumfries in the summer transfer window only for the Dutchman to join Inter Milan. The interest has not waned since then, though, with Los Blancos continuing to monitor his progress at San Siro.

Would not be surprised at all if he gets sold in the summer to an EPL side. He is a solid RB and could see him do really well in the premier league.

I agree completely, and that was why this was always going to be a solid, well-thought out transfer by Marotta and Ausilio. Even if he completely failed and flopped, we'd always be able to flip him at (at least) no loss to some middling, English club, simply because he has the age and the physicality they like so much. 15 million is nothing in this day and age, especially in the PRL. Even if the sporting side didn't work out, there's the financial middle ground to be had, which there really hasn't been much of historically (Dalbert, Lazaro) in our acquisitions.

If, which seems more and more likely, although too soon to tell, he didn't flop, we've got a good player on our hands. He has some, albeit not all of the same traits as Hakimi, and it seems like Inzaghi is starting to know how to utilize that more and more. Of course the 40 million Real Madrid rumors is ludicrous, but it doesn't detract from the fact that Dumfries is an asset.

In Darmian and Dumfries we have a solid foundation for a position which isn't exactly drowning in talent, and that's much more than we could've hoped for, especially at an financial upside of 45 million, after getting rid of Hakimi.

Don't think many knowing that reference LOL

He's decent enough, technique is clumsy I would say but workable for him. Only down side for now I think it's his decision making, slow and uncertain sometimes. He always prefers low cross, if he couldn't do that or dribble, he looks clueless.

Also i gave him a 1, prob should have been 2 or 3, he actually been really good, he lacks the pace but makes up for it in other ways.

This better right back from match to match.. the better chance we sell them.. unless their name D'ambrosio and Darmian.

I hope it's not repeated again like Cancelo or Hakimi.

This guy can totally develop into one of the top RB in his time, I think people are start seeing it too.
He has what it takes, only needs to develop a few more area and he will get there.
His defence got better, his finishing starts showing, did a few decent crosses; I feel like the more he knows his teammates and Simone's idea, the quicker he will be acting, which I think it has improved a bit too.

Improving by leaps and bounds over the last 4 matches, at both ends of the pitch. Loved him playing CF in the first half.
