I dont remember him scoring a lot against us........
Might be cause he was at lazio

Edit: I checked he scored 3 goals against us according to transfermarket
TBH I don't have the impression he scores a lot against anyone back then as a striker.:awyeah:

Don't get me wrong though, always liked him as a player and a person, I remember this story I think told by Filippo? That one year he spent a whole summer self training to get better during the players' vacation time, and I think he was already a starter for Lazio at that time, quite touching for me.
Another fun thing about him I remember when I was way younger was there was one game (at least, could be more, but I just remember one game) he capped with his brother for the Italian team, a very rare thing, but it happened. (I cannot even find it on wiki)
To me he shares a lot of similarity with Lopez another Lazio striker, not exactly a 9 1/2 player but doesn't score as much as 9, but not a bad striker, or it could be just me being super young and lack of the ability to analyze or comprehend accurately.

All in all I have faith in him as a manager, glad he is getting some recognition on FIF.

Impressive stat: we're the team with the most shots in the group stage.
Those boys need some shooting practises for sure, shame on our conversion rate.

Did Simone score a lot against us back in the day? You sure you’re not thinking about his brother?

Legitimate question as I wasn’t an inter fan back then.
Don't remember him scoring that much against us either, but he did score against us in the infamous 4-2. Although Gresko was the scapegoat there, makes my head boil thinking about how stupid he was.

Claudio Lopez you mean? Nothing alike. Lopez was more of a winger/SS and Simone was a CF. Lopez was famous for his speed and his wicked left foot, while Simone was nothing like that. Lopez was a beast in Valencia, but his move to Lazio halted his progress as a player.

Simone was an ok striker, nothing more. He didn't possess any significant quality to make him anything special. His brother Pippo had a better playing career, while Simone is having a better coaching career.

I like the idea of recruiting people with non-Inter background, weaken the enemy and all that.

Thanks, good to know.
I only remember his time at Lazio, know nothing about his Valencia time, but still remember people hyped about him and he was paired with Batistuta WC 98, but I wasn't impressed at that time, and they both are like nothing special as a player to me, wasn't sure he was a SS or a CF before. Makes more sense why people were hyped for Lopez back then.

I don't know what the others think, but for me yes, not as many as sheva though,

i really hate him back then, once he came on as sub and score, he was a frustrating player when i was a kid

Inter were leading 2 - 0 and this simone decide to start scoring and initiate the come back , let me help by sharing a youtube link,
this match made me hate inzaghi a lot

And yeah i also hate lazio a lot, why on earth they always play well against inter,
On a separate note, inzaghi was an okay striker back then

To be fair Lazio won the Scudetto with that.

I remember us not being able to beat Lazio for years after we won the UEFA Cup against them.

So far so good with Simone. It was clear from the beginning that he would be a more comfortable choice than Conte regarding the behaviour towards the club after having lived through Lotito. He's doing the exact right thing in maintaining a functional system and adding some extras to it, but not changing too much. I have the feeling that we started rolling now similarly to the run we started after beating Juventus last season.

Hopefully we keep this going and somehow add a creative midfielder and some pace to our squad in the winter mercato, then I see us fighting for the Scudetto til the very end.

Does someone have an answer as to why every fucking game our last 15 mns are a shitshow where we fall back and panick even against fucking Venezia ? Like doing three consecutives passes become an Herculean task.

Tired. Weird subs. Bad subs. Bad bench players.

One reason could be how poor our bench is when the Chileans are out injured. Once you replace Barella, Hakan & Perisic with Gagliardini, Vecino & D'Ambrosio, what else do you expect?

We need to spend some of the extra CL money and buy a couple of decent players for the bench this January.

Barella seems like he's exhausted and disappear after one hour.

I think that our biggest loss this summer isn't Hakimi nor Lukaku, it's Eriksen.

The fact that we lost 3 top players and are still doing this well is kinda shocking. Hopefully we can keep it up.

Don't have one.
We need to give him a quality fourth striker in january given that Sanchez is continuously injured. With intensity we are playing dzeko, correa and lautaro will literally die from exhaustion.

We saw even tonight when you don't have that sharpness in attack you will always suffer with a team like venezia.

Inzaghi is doing better than expected in my uninformed opinion. We can all question the subs and their timing but remember the staters are exhausted, some of the first line subs are injured and some of whats left has been a bugaboo for 4 years or so. He's doing his best, but some help along the bench would be useful and appreciated. Suning are you listening?

He deserves a better bench than what he has. Barella and Brozovic are irreplaceble in the first team and they can't play every 3 days without the fear of injuries or drop of form. Barella should sit out against Spezia. He's clearly exhausted. Same goes for Dzeko. We need a 4th forward in January. I'm done with Alexis and his constant injuries.

I really didn't get the Calhanoglu sub at 57th minute. Why Barella needs to be run down by using him at least 80 minutes EVERY MATCH?

Anyway, it was a great match in a sense that we didn't concede ANYTHING to the opponent. They had legit zero goal scoring chances, we had plenty.
