I'd like to ask ADRossi, how does it feel to know your organization stuck with Ken Holland too long, yet let Steve Yzerman walk and build a foundation in Tampa Bay? Had he been given power in Detroit earlier, maybe they'd have Palat, Tyler Johnson, Brayden Point and others but nope..

Ken Holland puts you in cap hell.

Lightning, what a redemption story.

Ken Holland is an abomination and terrible general manager. Our salary cap situation is actually fantastic right now; hardly any money committed long term thanks to a lot of bad deals expiring and being bought out. They'll be fine.

Red Wings are in a good spot. Cap space is the best asset a team can have right now. Even as a Leaf fan, I want to see Detroit back where they belong.

I'm sure Yzerman can turn it around, but I never saw so much apathy at LCA, let alone how many likely hate the Ilitch family inheriting Mike. The arena felt like a distraction and nobody cared about the game itself.

Just DeKeyser and Nielsen making big money on the '21-'22 books who you'd rather be without. And that's their final year at that.

That's good work. When it comes to Yzerman, my biggest concern would be whether he continues his tendency to give NTC's out like candy - something I know Holland also did and was probably Yzerman's biggest flaw in Tampa - but I also wonder if movement protection was something Yzerman worked out in exchange for getting players to sign for less money (knowing that local tax rates would also help to offset that to some degree).

Something to follow once Detroit eventually comes good again.

This is going to be an interesting season given the new divisions; looking forward to the Thunderdome that is the all-Canadian division.

-cough cough- nhl66 for you non-Centre Ice streaming folks.

Four teams allowing fans. I might actually go to Dallas or Florida just to see a game.

Of course the Sharks are gonna suck!

Are the Montreal Canadiens really gonna save Bergevin's job? Thought he's been a terrible GM.

Welp I think Bergy just bought himself another 3-5 years with this cup final appeareance and the youngin's stepping up when it matters most.

That being said, I think Tampa takes this in 6 games; Habs are yet to face a truly elite goalie during this playoffs until Vasilevskiy comes knocking around the door.

Like Hellebuyck isn’t elite. Come on now. What people don’t realize is the Habs win majority of 50/50 puck battles, and put pressure on the puck carrier right away.
If they split the games in Tampa, Montreal will win it all.

I thought the Islanders played some good hockey this season. Tampa deserves it though I hope they win the cup.
Islanders were absolutely dreadful yesterday. They literally started playing with 58 seconds left in the game…

I suppose stranger things have happened, but I'd be floored if the Lightning fail to win a single game in Montréal. Over these last seven years, winning road games in the playoffs has never been the Lightning's problem. They're 24-15 on the road since 2015. The problem has been the home games more than the road games.

So I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Habs win a game in Tampa, least of all if it's Game 1. The Lightning's home record in Game 1's is utterly dismal. But losing all their road games? You put a lot of faith in the power of 5,000 fans or whatever attendance capacity will be allowed there.

The Lightning were just the better team. They executed some killer possession play.

My Lightning looking like they’re going to win the Stanley again!

Shame we will lose players to the expansion draft.
