Di Marzio writes that we want at least 80 mln euro for Hakimi and the replacement would be Emerson Royal from Betis which costs around 20-25 mln. It seems much better, but still it's hard to accept.

80m for Hakimi I'd be fine with.

I dont know jack about Emerson Royal, but I'd want us to sign two RWBs to give us a hedged bet imho.

Trust Marotta, He is CEO Guru, know how to replace some player. If Hakimi gone, Beppe will replace him with other good players.

There is literally 0 players with the same quality on the market. Cancelo is the only one I can think of, clearly impossible, and that's it.
As much as I appreciate Marotta, he can't give birth. We don't have much profit to begin with, only...15m.

He didn't replace them? They fucking played the UCL final a season afterwards! He brought Bonucci later, but in the same time he put the hot potato Higuain in Milan's hands!

The team improved as a whole with their attack being much better after the addition of Dybala but the midfield got weaker. The duo of Khedira and Pjanic was nowhere near as good as Vidal and Pogba.

Yeah but those 80mil won't be used to strengthen the team but to cover debts. It will be massive downgrade whoever we sign for that position.

No player is "untouchable", and there exists an amount beyond which its a good transfer. Looks like Marotta is using PSG's interest in Hakimi to start a bidding war with Bayern & Chelsea. While I would be disappointed to lose Hakimi, losing him for 60m would hurt. Losing him for 80m will hurt less. Coz however good Hakimi is, in reality he isn't worth 80m.

Also we have to understand that with our new financial reality, our ambitions need to be down scaled. Perhaps a player of Hakimi's quality is wasted at Inter, maybe Darmian is now starting material to meet our new (lower) objectives.

Its sad, but I wouldn't blame players like Hakimi or Lukaku to ask for transfers... they did not come here to "aim for top 4". The player's will might dictate which player(s) we sell, as much as biggest offers and Inter's sporting objectives.

Hakimi is also ireplaceable. Creativity would need to come from somewhere else.

I don't think his departure is that bad considering he leaves for the right amount of money - 100 million - and an adequate replacement is brought in.

Also, his talent is being wasted in Series A. A player with less pace could do his job here. Europe is a different story.

It's extremely depressing. But do you know what's the worst thing? It's probably accurate. The moment we finally returned where we belong we need to go back to mediocrity. Like i said on the day Conte left, this has always been the case at this club. 10% of pleasure, 90% of torture.

I think Alonso is one of the best LWBs but Emerson is not that bad, gets a bad rap for some reason.

I really dont get it, in every league there are 3 of 4 teams fighting for the title, chances are top 4 is always the objective.
