Disagreed.

He’s overrated in a way that this forum thinks he can just walk in and own up any coaching job, including this club’s, when people were calling for Spaletti’s head.

You don’t have to be in an actual role to be rated by people.

In fact, he was already rated by people as potential world class coach back when he was still playing, just because he pointed fingers on the pitch.

He might not be an overrated coach, but his ability in coaching can still be overrated, overprojected.

So, he's overrated by idiots.

It's not the "finger pointing", it's the way he played. It's like he could "see" the game better than most of his teammates and colleagues in general. That's why I think he can become a great coach. Time will tell, so far as pointed out by others his career hasn't even begun yet.

How will these traits translate into the coaching job? What if he could see the game better than the other players? He can't control the players with a controller.

Will he see a counter in the making and yell to everyone "go back they are about to counter us..."?

Not asking just you, but everyone else, including myself (I was a huge fan of the idea Cambi coaching us).

on the pitch, he showed an instinct for understanding how the opponent will move, which made him great at nipping in the bud the opponent's attacks: unlike players like gattuso, he didn't rely so much on stamina.

if he's able pass down to the players what he could do on the pitch, I figure we can reasonably expect he can translate that into quite effective tactics. and he doesn't lack personality, which is very important for a coach.

I believe he's a natural and he can make a very great coach.

We need him right away. I have no doubt we will finish second with Cambiasso. But firing Marotta is a must.

Let's leave the hiring (and subsequent burning) of rookies to Rubentus. They're showing right now what a great idea that is.

Rookies cost nothing and learn fast. Hiring an old fart coach will only kill you with demands and will win nothing. He will only delay inter return to trophies. I expected Milan to win something when Eliott got rid all the corrupt Italian managers at Milan. Compare Inter with Milan now and see for yourself.

Does he even want to be a coach? He could definitely have had a job somewhere by now.

Let's get a coach who hasn't coached for 2 years and his last job was 4 matches as assistant. :notbad:

This. I never got the fascination with Cambiasso. What has he actually done since his retirement that convince people he wants to be a coach? 4 matches as Pekerman assistant? His playing career is irrelevant. Juventini also thought Pirlo's career as a player and his role on the pitch would be enough to be a successful coach but it doesn't work like that. Stankovic, Samuel and even Chivu have taken coaching a lot more seriously than Cuchu.

Because it's Cambiasso Il Drago. Let us dream about an unrealistic scenario while we in deep shit in real life.

You must be a fun person at a party...:trolldad:
