Skriniar
Oh, trust me Arna and Cuadrado are going to claw their way into the starting XI.
This has aged well...

Sorry Wobblz but had to do it when I saw this post!

Sommer
Pavard - Skriniar - Bastoni
Dumfries - Barella - Hakan - Zielinski - Dimarco
Thuram - Lautaro

Really think Zielinski will be a reinforcement for our midfield, really great signing imo. We will win the Scudetto easily with this team.

I don't see Skriniar returning as an option now.

Team next season will be pretty much the same as this season, with Zielinski getting more minutes than Asllani and probably Asllani being shipped somewhere if we can upgrade with someone like Colpani or a veteran like Pereyra.
Taremi will be getting Sanchez minutes. We'd need a new strikers but again I don't see us going for one. We've seen Inzaghi experiment a bit with 3511 last season and that might still be a thing.

Market opportunities is the only thing that could change this. Maybe some turmoil with Saudi clubs and we're game for a name like SMS or Neves or even an unlikely Brozo return. Or signing Firmino for a rotation spot up front. But odds for that are minimal. Saudis are probably sticking with their plan for the next few seasons at least.

I'm okay with the team being the same, as long as everyone is healthy. Even if Acerbi and Mkhitaryan are getting older, we'll have adequate subs.

Little chance of Skriniar coming back. He left for the money and he's not going to walk away readily from his PSG contract on this basis. Hypothetically speaking if he was available on loan on favourable terms, he would be useful as the stopper that's needed. He was never all that comfortable on the right side of the three and being required to bring the ball out of defence.

I'd reckon that at the moment the 'on-paper' strongest eleven would be untouched from this season with perhaps, but only perhaps, Zielinski ahead of Miki. If they can get their optimum targets then probably Buongiorno would be ahead of De Vrij, whereas Gudmundsson and Bento would start more often off the bench behind Thuram and Sommer.

He had a disastrous performance the other night, but I wonder if there's a good loan deal to be done with Bayern for Kim.
