I keep Correa as the 5th forward. If we can't find him a suitor, better keep him and let him runs out his contract. He might be useful on few occasions.

Joaquin has no business here. Let him leave. Marko should stay. At least he is a fighter. Seba or Pinamonti (should Sassuolo relegate) can be promoted to 5th forward.

Never saw one word from half reliable source about this Colpani guy and us. He is not coming. I doubt any new midfielder is coming if we need to pay his club for that. And I can't see Asllani going on a loan.

Buongiorno is not coming either. Too expensive. Even if we get some money through youngsters reports are future GK is coming. And we need third forward more that defender (not sure our mercato team is thinking the same),I doubt Taremi is that guy.

If Dumfries is not extending we need player on his level at least which I also don't see very likely, probably another downgrade after Hakimi. Maybe we can get some veteran for one season and then try to bring back Hakimi next summer cause his contract is expiring. Don't know how realistic that is.

Bisseck going for a loan is not happening either. And I expect de Vrij to stay one more season.

Ausilio saying that if he had known ahead of time what Lukaku was planning, he would have kept Dzeko on and Thuram would have arrived regardless.

Makes me feel sick that if Lukaku hadn’t been his usual twat self and just communicated honestly we would have avoided Arnautovic and kept Dzeko with appropriate cover so he doesn’t die on the pitch by February.

I think we can afford one more expensive player. Buongorno could cost us money + some young player in order to reduce those 40mln. In fact, we already have 5 attackers, Correa included and our midfield is set. Maybe we will need a new RWB only if Dumfries leaves.
So, for me it is quite possible to spend something on Boungorno or some similar player.

Don't have one.
Ausilio doesn't seem too optimistic about buongiorno judging by that interview.

Here's the quote: No, no immediate exits are planned in defensive department because no one asked us to leave. We're in a good place like this, we have strong players, if the old players are like Acerbi and Darmian I'll keep them for life. They are crazy professionals, an example for everyone else. Then as sports director I can't say that I don't like Buongiorno, I like him a lot. But I can't take them all."

He had similar feelings of content about the upcoming mercato as well, which is understandable given the team we have. But I also don't want us to be in the situation like in 2010 when we won everything and then did fuck all during the summer thinking the team is good enough.

I'm also positive that Inzaghi would have started Dzeko over Thuram for most of the season. Lukaku screwed us, but management didn't need to panic buy Arnautovic.

Besides of that, having Dzeko this season on top of Lautaro and Thuram, would most likely have a different outcome of results in CL. We didn't even put a proper effort in group stage matches, so it was basically first leg vs Atletico Madrid, that we played with all our might, and we could practically stamp our qualification had we taken our chances. This is still hypothetical talking, but fresh-legs Dzeko is superior to almost everyone in our attack honestly.

For most part of the season, low-key I wish we could miraculously bring Dzeko back. We were in desperate for someone like him. I thought Arnautovic could be that guy, but he was not even close to what I expected.

I still can't get over the fact that we've been knocked out of CL. It's quite painful considering competition these days, and our capacity. We could have done big things. I'm usually on our management's side, but I can't swallow the fact that the latter have fucked up real bad in attacking department.

A definite possibility. Inzaghi has made big improvements in many areas, but him playing favourites deffo remains an issue.

I would like to think that with Thuram’s devastating form at the start of the season he would basically have been forced to drop Dzeko.
